Delivery times

Orange: please allow for a longer delivery time

Autumn is traditionally a very busy period due to the high number of orders, the changeover to the autumn assortment and our participation in several plant fairs.

Many orders contain plants from different parts of our assortment. Some come from our own nursery, while others are supplied by specialised partner nurseries. As a result, it can sometimes take a little longer before an order is complete and ready to be shipped.

In addition, we regularly take part in plant fairs during autumn. The preparation, transport and fair days themselves require a considerable amount of time and can temporarily delay the processing and dispatch of online orders.

Due to the combination of these factors, orders may temporarily build up. We process and dispatch them as quickly as possible, depending on availability and completeness.

The stated delivery time is therefore always an indication and not a guaranteed delivery period.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this busy autumn period.

Snowdrop summer list

To guarantee the best quality, we ship snowdrop bulbs as fresh as possible. After all, they thrive best in the soil, not in dry air.

You could order your snowdrops up to and including July 20. Delivery starts from mid-August, exactly on time for the ideal planting moment.

Coolplants isn't some e-shop with assembly lines and barcode scanners.

No warehouses full of identical boxes, no algorithms making decisions faster than you can brew a coffee.

Here it's small, personal, and a little bit quirky.
A one-woman show — literally. Each plant often passes through my hands before heading to your garden.

Why might it sometimes take a little longer?
The delivery time of 5 to 20 business days, which you'll also find in your confirmation email, has a few good reasons:

  • Spring rush: Everyone wants to brighten up their garden and patio then, so it's super busy!
  • My lovely partner nurseries: I work with other passionate growers, and I'm a bit dependent on their deliveries. These can sometimes shift. During the season, I receive new plants every week; outside the season, it's every two to three weeks.
  • The weather, of course: Plants stay safe with us during frost or heat (above 25°C/77°F).
  • Peak moments: Think of snowdrop season in February/March and the plant fairs in April/May. Things get extra hectic then.

Good to know.

So, please bear with me a little.
During the season, my plants and packaging materials get more attention than my inbox, and my hands are more often in the soil than on the keyboard.

Sometimes faster, sometimes a bit slower – but always with love.

Good to know

Shipments may be temporarily postponed when temperatures are above 25°C or in case of frost. We don’t do this to be difficult, but to keep your plants healthy.

In the season, my plants and my packing materials often get more attention than my inbox. My hands are then more often in the soil than on the keyboard.

So please have a little patience. Your order will not be forgotten. We try to process everything as carefully and as quickly as possible.
