Half maart-half april onder glas zaaien of half april-eind mei buiten op een zaaibed. Na 5/6 weken uitplanten. Cosmea is geschikt voor hogere borders,
bovendien is het blad uitstekend te gebruiken als snijgroen voor boeketten.
