A hardy ornamental shrub with a profusion of white, lightly scented flowers on reddish-brown twigs. The oval leaves change color beautifully in autumn. Thrives in sun to partial shade, preferably in moist but well-drained, fertile soil. Suitable for natural gardens and informal hedges.
