Prunus mume ’Matsubaru Red’
Early-flowering shrub with intense reddish-purple buds and fragrant, pinkish-red flowers on bare twigs. Blooms in mid to late winter. It grows compactly and upright in sunny, sheltered locations. It prefers fertile, well-drained soil.
