Large flowers in many shades: scarlet, white, purple, pink, mauve and salmon, all with a striking dark purple-black spot in the center of the flower. Grows naturally in olive groves and hilly grasslands of the Mediterranean. Very early flowering anemone for a warm, well-drained place in the border or in grassland.
