Elegant dogwoods arise from a cross between two American species: E. californicum and E. revolutum. The flowers are white or pink. Plant the Dog?s-tooth-violet in a spot in light shade to shade in humus-rich woodland soil. The tubers are sensitive to dehydration and damage, among other things; plant them immediately after receiving and at least 10 cm deep. //
