Italian pick anemones. Large, red-purple single flowers, sometimes with an extra layer of petals. Best known as a cut flower, but also nice for the garden. Cover lightly in winter. The Italian A. coronaria are healthy, vigorous plants, created through careful selection work at an Italian nursery. The tubers are smaller than those of the Israeli Anemone, but this has no effect on the development of the plant.
